Copying Multimedia Content to Your PC

In the previous sections, you saw how to use File Explorer to copy media from your PC to your phone. However, this process also works in reverse. You can easily use File Explorer to copy phone content to your PC by dragging and dropping music, video, or picture files from the phone and onto a computer’s hard drive. To do so, connect your phone to your PC and then follow these steps:

1. Open File Explorer (press WinKey+E) and select Windows Phone in the Navigation pane, under the Computer section.

2. Navigate through the phone’s file system and locate the content you want to copy to your computer.

3. Right-click the file (or entire folder) that you want to copy.

4. Select the Copy command from the shortcut menu.

5. Navigate to the folder on your hard drive to which you want to copy the media files.

6. Right-click an empty area within File Explorer.
